Grant's First Hair Cut

On Thursday Grant and I had to go to a follow up doctor's appointment to check on the tubes in his ears. All is well there.

Afterwords we decided to take him for his first haircut. I took him to the same place Gage had is first cut done. When we got there he seemed ok. He looked around quietly. That's normal for him.

However, when the lady put the smock on him, he wasn't sure anymore. He clawed and tried to get it off.

We figured it would be better if instead of having him sit in the chair, it would be better if I held him. That calmed him down a little bit.

He sat pretty still until he caught a glimpse of the lady with the scissors. Then he freaked out. He screamed the whole time, luckily it only lasted about 5 minutes.

Now he's offically a big boy *cry*

Gage's First Movie Experience

On Tuesday I took Gage for his first movie in the theater. We was so excited he talked about it for DAYS. He's a huge movie fan, as it is.

He saved up every piece of change he could find and filled not one, but two piggy banks. Once they were full we cashed them in for him. He saved up $40.oo!

We had to make a stop at Target before the movie. Since he had saved up so much money he got to pick out a treat as well. He picked a big Care Bear, that came with it's on DVD. He's a Care Bear fanatic (more on that to come in a later blog). He made me open it as soon as we got in the car.

The rest of the ride he was yelling at cars in front of us. "Move people! I need popcorn! And candy! And Coke! The bear movie!" (Mooo people! I cacorn! Canny! Coooke! A Be-ah moonie!) I guess traffic was a moving a little too slow for his liking.

As soon as we walked into the theather his eyes got huge! You could tell he was taking it all in.

We went to the concession stand and got his popcorn, candy (twizzlers), and Coke. He held the tickets like a big boy (along with the Care Bear he had just purchased). And walked along side me into the theater.

He was pretty much amazed as soon as we got in there. The screen really got him. "Biiiiig TV!" (Biiig TD).

He did good the whole movie. He watched pretty well. It had some slow parts and wasn't really his kind of movie. But he did well. He sat in his seat some and in my lap more. He's so little that he can't hold the seat down alone so I had to keep my hand there most of the time.

All in all I was really impressed by the way he behaved. When it was over he shouted "Movie's over!!!" (Moonie's oder!)

Since he had a little money left I took him to McDonald's for lunch and let him play. He was exhausted after that and crashed in the car on the way home.
